Resources for Christian Jeepers

Practical help for safe trails and strong fellowship

“Two are better than one… if either of them falls, one can help the other up.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9–10

Quick Checklists

Before You Leave

  • • Check weather + closures
  • • Tell someone your route + ETA
  • • Water, layers, food
  • • Charge devices + offline maps

Vehicle Basics

  • • Tire pressure set (and reinflate plan)
  • • Spare + tools + jack
  • • Recovery strap + shackles
  • • Fluids checked

Communication & Radios

Different clubs use different radios. Ask your group and match what they use.

GMRS

Popular for trail groups. Stronger than basic FRS radios.

CB

Older standard for 4x4 groups. Still used widely in some regions.

Phone Apps

Great when you have signal — not reliable as your only plan.

Note: local regulations may apply. Follow licensing rules where required.

Recovery Basics

Recovery can be dangerous. Get trained, use rated gear, and never improvise beyond your knowledge.

  • • Use only rated recovery points and gear.
  • • Never use a tow ball as a recovery point.
  • • Keep spectators far away and communicate clearly.
  • • When in doubt, stop and get a more experienced leader involved.

Faith Tools for Your Group

Want to build Christ-centered culture in your Jeep community? Start simple.

  • • Open rides with a 30-second prayer
  • • Share a short devotion at lunch or camp
  • • Plan a service trail cleanup day
  • • Invite newcomers intentionally
